Share your life-changing experience

Your experience of visiting your sponsored child may have been life changing and one that has inspired you to continue to make a difference.

Share your enthusiasm and encourage others to also help children living in the world’s hardest places by sharing your experience of visiting your sponsored child. Here’s what you can do:

  • Send us photos and your ‘story’ about the highlights of your visit. We’ll then share your feedback with other supporters to inspire them. Some sponsor visit stories may be used in World Vision’s social media and we may ask you encourage other supporters by blogging for us on our website or our Facebook page
  • Give a presentation in your home, workplace or church to family, friends and colleagues about your visit to your sponsored child – we’re happy to provide all the resources you will need.

Amanda’s visit inspired her to help children in the poorest countries in the world

Visits to sponsored children are so inspirational that sponsors return to the UK motivated and passionate about making a real difference to children’s lives. For example, Amanda (pictured below), decided to become a World Vision Ambassador after her visit.

Amanda Bausor, World Vision Ambassador

World Vision Ambassadors are passionate volunteers with first-hand knowledge of the life-changing impact of child sponsorship. They are an important and valued part of World Vision UK and work to improve the lives
of children and families living in poverty by inspiring others in their local communities to sponsor a child too.

Who we are

World Vision believes that by working together with children, their communities, and our supporters and partners, the lives of the world’s most vulnerable children can be transformed. As a Christian organisation, we aspire to reflect God’s unconditional love in all we do.
