World Vision and Saying Goodbye
Last week we announced that we’ve partnered with the incredible Saying Goodbye, which is part of the Mariposa Trust.
We are thrilled to be working with this fantastic organisation and wanted to take the chance to explain a little more about who they are and why we’re so excited to be partnering with them.
Who are they?
Saying Goodbye organise remembrance services in cathedrals and minsters for people who have suffered the loss of a baby at any stage of pregnancy, birth, or in infancy. In 2013 they will be holding over 20 services all over the UK (visit their website to find out more).
World Vision and Saying Goodbye – does that make sense?
Absolutely! Granted you’d expect us to say that but there is great unity in both charities’ goals:
- Both of us value the life of every child and seek to bring hope to the lives of families through our work.
- Both of us seek to set people free from fear.
- Both of us exist to enrich the lives of those we come into contact with.
So, with these common aims we think it makes perfect sense that we partner to further our work on both sides and reach more people.
What will we do together?
It’s still early stages, but we hope to partner on a variety of exciting events that both World Vision and Saying Goodbye can use to further our respective life-changing work.
We will let you know as soon as we have our first event planned as we believe that together we can make a real difference to the lives of many people both in the UK and around the world.
Keep your eyes on our Twitter and Facebook (and, of course, this blog) for updates on what events are coming up and don’t forget to connect with Saying Goodbye on their Facebook and Twitter, too.
