Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Programme in the Central Highlands of Angola

The overall goal of the project is to assist the Government National Strategy to reduce the morbidity and mortality associated with water-borne diseases and contribute to the UN Millennium goals. The specific objective is to promote the adoption of sustainable technologies, stimulate positive behaviour change and increase local Water and Sanitation Hygiene management in order to significantly reduce contaminated water, open air defecation and poor hygiene in targeted rural areas.
