Philippines Typhoon Appeal

Typhoon Mangkhut has left a trail of devastation, especially in the northern Philippines. Whilst the typhoon and news coverage of it have all but died out, thousands of families and children are left to cope with its terrible aftermath.

Having initially fled to evacuation centres, many families are now returning home to find their houses flattened and crops destroyed. They desperately need your help.

Our response:

We’ve deployed trained staff to the affected areas for rapid response and assessment.

We’ve set up Child Friendly Spaces to give children psychosocial support. This gives children a safe place to play, express their emotions and have fun with other children.

We’re helping families to rebuild their homes.

We’re providing clean water and hygiene items, including soap and toiletries to help prevent the spread of diseases.

We’re providing shelter kits, which contain tarpaulins and ropes for those who have lost everything.
