SEE HOW YOU'RE HELPING CHILDREN IN MYANMAR

February 2018 Update

You may have read in the news about the hundreds of thousands of refugees who’ve fled from the unimaginable violence in Myanmar. The majority of these are children.

Arriving in Bangladesh, many of them have lost parents and are scared, hungry and alone. They’re living in makeshift camps with little access to food, clean water or medical care. They’re facing the threat of malnutrition and disease.

Somsida (above), 11, still remembers the food she used to eat at home, like rice and fish. But now, her most vivid memories are the sounds of running, shouting and fighting back in her village before she was forced to leave.

I like to go to school. If the fighting stops, I wish to go to my village and start school again and attend classes.

- Somsida, 11, from Myanmar
