Meet the team

Richard has over 15 years experience in fundraising for various not for profits, with over five years with World Vision managing teams to bring in over 50,000 new supporters.

Richard has a passion for seeing people reach their full potential. After visiting projects in Sierra Leone he was amazed by the drive and desire of people to improve their own lives and the sustainable way in which World Vision makes a lasting difference:

"Seeing a woman go from having no income and not being able to feed her two children, to now having cattle and a sustainable business gives me faith in the work that we do and the difference we can all make. It’s amazing to see the happiness people get when they give, everybody loves to do something to help someone else and I love that I get to open people’s hearts and minds on a daily basis."

Laura has over 20 years of fundraising and sales experience in both the for profit and not for profit sectors. She was first introduced to World Vision in 2008 when she met her sponsored child in Malawi. At that time she felt that she needed to use her skills to serve the most vulnerable with World Vision.

"After seeing how World Vision worked in the field and how dedicated the on the ground staff were at creating sustainable change within communities, I knew that I wanted to play a role and serve to the best of my ability."

Laura joined World Vision in 2009 with our US support office and when her family relocated to the UK she looked to find a way to serve the organisation here as well.

"I'm thrilled to be a part of the Philanthropy team and find great joy in helping our supporters make a more tangible and greater impact than they even thought possible. I enjoy helping to join our generous donors with the work of World Vision to truly change the lives of the most vulnerable of this world in a way that is life changing for both our donors and those they are supporting."

Saramine joined World Vision after many years working in the private sector and has held various relationship management and leadership roles. She holds a Bachelor of Laws Honours degree.

The aspect which Saramine finds most rewarding in her role is being at the heart of the needs of vulnerable children around the world.

"I love what I do; in being able to connect these needs together with the passions and gifts of our loyal and generous supporters. It is within this unique partnership that we bring real hope to millions of children in the world's hardest to reach places."

Charlotte brings over 15 years experience of fundraising and volunteer management within the charity and education sectors, most recently developing fundraising for a University cancer research centre and serving on the Board of an education charity.

She is looking forward to deepening her knowledge of the work of World Vision and working with our supporters to make real and lasting change in the lives of the world's most vulnerable children and the communities in which they live.

“I was drawn to working with World Vision in order to be part of something bigger - to learn and develop as part of a larger team and in turn make a larger impact.”

Caroline joined World Vision after many years working in the private sector in a variety of relationship management and marketing roles.

She joined World Vision as she really believes in the work we do in meeting the needs of the world's most vulnerable children.

“I am really happy to be able to work with our wonderful supporters letting them know how much of a difference they make to so many lives and helping them to know more about World Vision and the work we do, so that they can see what a difference their generosity makes.”

Paul joined World Vision in 2015 and has worked in the charity sector since 2010.

He previously spent 35 years working in senior project management roles in the banking and finance sectors (in both the UK and internationally).

“I feel privileged to be able to interact with our wonderful supporters. I love being able to talk with them about the changes, which together, we can make to improve the lives of some of the world's most vulnerable children.”
