WHY PARTNER WITH US

WE HAVE A PROVEN TRACK RECORD

Founded in 1950, World Vision has worked with communities for more than 65 years to give children the tools they need to grow and thrive. With a staff of 46,000 serving tens of millions of people in nearly 100 countries, we’re effectively tackling the root causes of poverty worldwide.

In 2016, World Vision UK supported a total of 310 projects across 39 different countries. These projects helped just over 7.5 million people; 4.4 million were children.

WE BRING REAL HOPE

World Vision is the world’s largest international children’s charity building a better world for children.

Motivated by our Christian faith, we are dedicated to working with the world’s most vulnerable people, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, gender or sexual orientation. Every day we bring real hope to millions of children in the world's hardest places as a sign of God's unconditional love.

WE WORK WITH COMMUNITIES

World Vision is a global leader and best in class in empowering communities to help themselves. We partner with groups of communities and provide them the tools and training to make a truly lasting change.

Our local staff work in thousands of communities across the world, living and working alongside families and communities to help change the world they live in for good and create lasting change.

WE CREATE LASTING CHANGE

Everything we do is focused on one goal: giving children a better childhood – and future – especially the most vulnerable.

Our long-term, holistic community development programmes are proven to deliver lasting solutions for children. We help communities progress toward self-sufficiency by working together through social, physical and spiritual transformation. And by helping community members to help each other, we ensure that the process of positive change continues long after our teams have left.

GLOBAL FOOTPRINT: GRASSROOTS KNOWLEDGE

When you support World Vision, you become a partner of the world's largest international children's charity. Working in almost 100 countries, we benefit from the expertise of world-class development specialists; utilising economies of scale that are vital when a disaster happens. We also have a voice in international forums including the United Nations, while governments regularly seek our advice.

But, just as important as our global footprint is our grassroots presence. 97 per cent of our 45,000 strong staff are local people with local knowledge. This means our interventions can be targeted at the most vulnerable children because we know exactly who they are.

WE RESPOND QUICKLY TO EMERGENCIES

Our worldwide presence means we're quick to respond to emergencies like conflict and natural disasters. In the UK, we’re one of the 13 leading humanitarian organisations making up the DEC (Disasters Emergency Committee), globally responding to emergencies.

WE BUILD NETWORKS OF INFLUENCE

World Vision has earned the trust of more than one million donors, thousands of churches, and hundreds of corporations, institutions, and government agencies around the globe. As a Christian organisation, we’re welcomed by leaders of different religious groups, allowing us to be more effective in our impact and transformation.

WE REPRESENT CHILDREN AT EVERY LEVEL

We use our influence and global reach to ensure children are represented at every level of decision-making.

We advocate – giving communities a voice on world stages. We’ve repeatedly been the UK Government’s go-to advisors on policies that affect the most vulnerable children across the world.

Our world class Citizen Voice and Action work has been acknowledged by the World Bank as a best practice tool for supporting sustainable community development. Communities in 227 projects across Africa, Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe are being empowered to raise their voices for positive change.
